Reconfigurable Smart Sensor Controllers

 The article analyzes main directions of smart sensor controllers development. One of the promising trends in IC design is reconfigurable multifunctional smart sensor controllers. Multi-functional ICís are less expensive at pre-production phase, but make the design process more com-plicated. Author proposes to use a ďsystem-on-chipĒ design flow which is based on usage of parame-trizable model of analog units. This behavioral modeling substantially reduces the design period duration.
