Cross-section Partitioning Technique for Multiple Cell Upsets Rate Simulation in Space Environment

Abstract
 A self-consistent procedure for the ion-induced soft error rate calculation in space environment is proposed. The method is based on the partitioning of the multiple cell events into groups with different multiplicities. The proposed partitioning technique has been validated for the ground and on-orbit literature data.
